Make Your Home Workstation Work

Make Your Home Workstation Work
Pick a Spot
If you don’t have a desk at home, try working from your kitchen table rather than sitting on a couch.
Adjust Your Seat
If you don’t own an ergonomic chair, use a seat wedge to help maintain proper posture.
Adjust Your Monitor
Place books under your laptop to raise it up, finding a balance between lifting your hands and bending your neck.
Create a Standing Desk
Create your own standing desk at home by simply working at a raised counter.

Take Breaks Every 20 Minutes
• Stand up and move your legs up and down as if you are walking in place.
• Look at an object that is more than 20 feet away for about 20 seconds.
• Gently shake your hands, wrist and elbows for a few seconds while also rolling your shoulders up, back and down.
• Take a slow, deep breath to improve your posture, then slowly exhale
